How do I log in or create an account?
If you already have a ProfitChoice Member account, then you can log in using the "Member Login" button at the top-right of every page of this site. If you don't have an account yet, then you can create one by going to the login screen and clicking on the link, "Sign up for a FREE account here". Or, just click here.

How much does it cost to post my message to bloggers?
The cost depends on the number of blog posts and the minimum BlogScore you request. There is also a $5 listing fee. You can see the pricing when you visit the BlogMarket Campaign Page.

What is BlogScore?
BlogScore is a number between 0 and 21 that helps us determine the relative value of a blog. The ranking represents an algorithm we have developed that takes into consideration both subjective and objective values for a blog such as the blog's search engine authority, traffic levels, and the quality of the writing. We do not allow blogs below a BlogScore of 4 to post on our system. On the other side of the coin, it is virtually impossible for a blogger to acheive a perfect "21" BlogScore. Most blogs fall between BlogScores 6 and 14.

Is it ALWAYS better to request a higher BlogScore?
The higher the BlogScore, the more expensive the posts will be. In addition, there are fewer blogs with BlogScores above 17 than below. So, you will generally be able to get MORE posts with a lower minimum BlogScore - however, a Blogger with a higher BlogScore usually means more traffic to your site.

One strategy you might consider is to create two or even three campaigns. One would target the lower BlogScore blogs and might have 20 or 30 posts. The other would target the higher-level bloggers, and you might limit these to 4 or 5 posts. This strategy gets your website exposure to the most influential bloggers, while also maximizing the number of posts on the Internet (think Reach vs. Frequency).

How can I tell if I'm getting anything out of this?
You can check on the effectiveness of the articles by visiting the Campaign Report Screen. Most blogs will allow a tracking script that give us an idea of the number of "hits" the article receives. Another great source of information is your own hit reports. Ask your web master or IT department to give you logs of hits to the site.

Is there any kind of reporting?
Yes. Each campaign you create will provide a list of the posts that were written, links to the posts, and (where available) the number of hits the post received.

What exactly is a blog, anyway?
A blog is a type of website that allows the owner to easily and quickly post short articles online. The structure of the system makes it easy for search engines to find information and categorize sites. This makes blogs extremely effective for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Some bloggers have large constituencies of readers who visit their "blogs" multiple times per week (sometimes even daily). These bloggers are very influential in their respective markets, and can often have a significant impact on a website's traffic and branding efforts.

How many blog articles should I order?
The more blog posts you have written about your topic, the more "hits" you'll receive from the campaign. So, you should try to spread the word around as much as possible in order to avoid the troubles associated with putting "all your eggs in one basket."

It is also a good idea to run multiple campaigns simulateously with different messages. Some messages are much more effective for bloggers than others. As an example, we have seen two campaigns for the same client - one received 10 times as much traffic as the other. The difference? We changed the focus of the campaign to a different part of the site. It was more interesting to the bloggers, and more interesting to their readers as well.

Will the Bloggers link to my website?
Yes. You will have an opportunity to put a link into the Campaign Order Form.

I have specific anchor text I want the bloggers to use. How do I do that?
Yes. You will have an opportunity to specify the anchor text when you order your Campaign.

What if a blogger makes a mistake, or there is an inaccuracy in the post?
Your Campaign Report Screen has a link to report inaccuracies and mistakes. It is a good idea to try and be as specific as possible in your campaign description in order to avoid these situations. If you discover an inaccuracy that was spelled out in your original order, then we will require the blogger to fix the issue in order to be paid.

If, on the other hand, the inaccuracty was due to the description you provided not being specific enough, then we will ask the blogger to correct it, but the correction will not be required.

Do the bloggers disclose the fact that I'm paying them to write the post?
Yes. However they are not required to mark the post itself as "sponsored". The blogger is only required to have a disclosure statement available on the website or blog.

How do you know if a blogger's audience is appropriate for my website?
We track a number of factors about each Blogger including the subjects covered by the blog, the geographic region the blogger is in, and the popularity of the blog. When you add a job to our system, we only allow bloggers who qualify for your job to review and post articles for it.

How should I choose my "subjects"?
You can be as general or as specific as you like. Keep in mind that a wider net will include more bloggers, so make sure to look over all the possibilities.

Can a blogger write multiple articles for my opportunity?
A blogger can only write one article per blog for each of your campaigns. However, some bloggers operate multiple blogs on related subjects. In this case it is possible for one blogger to post more than one article for your campaign.

However, we do not allow the blogger to simply "copy/paste" the article. Each article must be unique; if it is too similar then we will ask for a revision.

Do you allow bloggers to post negative articles?
No. Unlike some of our competitors, we don't make you pay for negative posts. We only allow positive campaigns, and we only allow positive posts.

Will ProfitChoice help me spread negative articles about my competitors?
No. We only allow positive reviews, posts, and campaigns. We are not in the business of spreading negativity.

What if I want to change or add additional information to my opportunity after it has been approved?
No problem. You just click on the little "pencil" icon next to your campaign on your ProfitChoice Homepage and you can change the campaign. You can change everything except the Number of Posts you ordered, and the Minimum BlogScore.

Your campaign will be "paused" until one of our Editors has reviewed it to make sure it still complies

One thing to keep in mind, if you make changes to your campaign after bloggers have already placed tokens on it, then the changes will not be effective for bloggers who already took up the assignment.

For example, if you accidentally made your campaign available to "Technology" bloggers, but then later decided to be more specific and only make it available to "Internet/Web Development" Blogs. If bloggers with "Technology" have already started work on the project, then they will be allowed to complete the assignment.

However, any bloggers who log into the system after your changes are made will only see the opportunity if they qualify for "Internet/Web Development" assignments.
