FAQs for Bloggers
Answers
How much money can I make?
You can make quite a bit of money. If you have several blogs that cover a number of subjects, and each blog is relatively popular, then you can make hundreds or even thousands of dollars per month. It all depends on the amount of demand there is for your subject, how popular your blog is, and how much you want to work.
When do I get paid?
You will be paid by the Friday following the week in which your blog post was accepted. This period gives us time to review your post, and it also gives the client time to request changes if there are inaccuracies.
How will I be paid?
You will be paid via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal Account, then you can get one here: GET PAYPAL ACCOUNT
Do I have to disclose the fact that I'm being paid to write?
Yes. However, your disclosure does not need to be next to your post. In fact, most advertisers would prefer your disclosure statement to NOT be next to your post. ProfitChoice only requires that the disclosure statement be accessible on your site. When you add your blog to our system, there will be a space where you will need to provide the URL that contains the disclosure statement.
Does my blog qualify for ProfitChoice?
Probably. Our review process takes a number of factors into account such as the popularity of your blog as well as the writing quality. The more popular your blog is, and the higher the quality of your writing, the more jobs you will qualify for.
We also have some minimum requirements which you can see if you visit the "Add Blog Page".
What is a "token", and how do I get one?
A token is a virtual coin that you place on a job to indicate you are working on it. A token lasts for 24 hours. You must submit your post to us within 24 hours of placing a token on the job in order to get credit for the post. You have 3 tokens, so you can work on up to 3 articles simultaneously.
What if my "token" expires?
If you do not submit your completed article to us within 24 hours then your token will expire and someone else will have the opportunity to put his/her token on the job. Depending on the number of blog posts the advertiser ordered you may be able to put another token on the job, but it's best to go ahead and finish the article as quickly as possible just to make sure you don't lose credit.
How do I submit a blog article?
Once you have finished writing your article, you can submit it back to ProfitChoice by logging into your Member account here. Once there, you will see your "Current Blogging Assignments". Click on the "Submit Post" icon associated with the job and provide us with the Title and URL of the post.
Can I have multiple blogs?
Yes.
Can I write multiple blog posts for the same opportunity?
You can only write on an opportunity with one blog at a time. You must finish one post before you can put a token for another blog on that opportunity. Also, you can only write one post per blog for any given opportunity. If you have multiple blogs on the same subject then it is possible to write multiple posts for the same opportunity.
What if my post is rejected?
If your post is rejected, then you will receive an email that will explain the reason. In most cases you will have an opportunity to fix the problem. If after multiple revision attempts, our editors determine that the post simply does not conform to the guidelines, then the post may be permanently rejected.
In addition, if our editors determine that you are attempting to defraud our system, then your post (and your account) will be permanently rejected and terminated. If a post is permanently rejected then you will NOT be paid for it - so play by the rules! We WANT to pay you to blog, but we must maintain a high-quality product for our advertisers. You know if you are "bending" the rules, and we maintain the right to terminate your account at any time, and for any reason
I don't see any opportunities available for me, what's up?
The ProfitChoice BlogMarket allows advertisers to post ads that ONLY APPEAR FOR QUALIFYING BLOGGERS. Blogs are rated for the following criteria:
- Popularity
- Quality
- Geographic Location
- Subject
For example, let's say you have a blog about automobiles. Your blog may be great, but it won't qualify for Culinary opportunities. Your blog must meet the minimum requirements for all four criteria in order for the opportunity to appear on your list.
What if my blog contains "questionable" material?
In short, keep it "G-rated". Most of our advertisers are not interested in associating their brands with negative influences such as pornography, racism, violence, illegal activities, drug use, negative advertising, or unpleasant images. If we see this type of content on your blog, then your account will be terminated at our sole discretion. We are a "positive-only" shop.
I don't agree with an advertiser's message. Can I post an "honest" review even if it's negative?
At ProfitChoice we believe the Internet is the ultimate democracy, and you should have the freedom to post anything you want. However, WE WILL ONLY PAY FOR POSITIVE REVIEWS. We do not accept negative advertising campaigns, and likewise, we don't accept negative articles about our lovely clients! If a campaign is promoting something you don't agree with, then don't put your token on it.
